Head Chef Full Time

A unique opportunity to make your mark on the most anticipated re-opening in the Central West. Work closely with passionate, high-energy business owners to develop creative, high-end seasonal menus with a focus on fresh, local produce. As a seasoned professional, you will be passionate about the food industry and have a stellar work ethic. You will oversee the operational function of the kitchen, liaising with wholesalers and suppliers as well as dishing up high quality meals to create a foodies paradise in the heart of the Central West.

In this role, you will:

Key responsibilities:

• Design, curate and develop seasonal menus with a focus on fresh, local produce
• Ability to cook a wide variety of high quality, modern Australian-fusion meals as required by a seasonal menu
• Develop a modern, bespoke meal presentation style unique to the venue
• Manage the day-to-day kitchen operations, including development of processes to ensure consistency and quality results 100% of the time
• Oversee cost management of kitchen ensuring business KPIs are met
• Order stock and produce, managing kitchen storeroom and liaising with external suppliers and wholesalers on a regular basis
• Develop, implement and manage a food safety plan whilst ensuring the highest of food safety compliance and awareness.
• Work closely with business owners to elevate and progress the business with a growth mindset.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing a busy, high-paced kitchen
• Ability to design seasonal menus with a creative and co-operative approach
• Proven experience working in collaboration with wholesalers & distributers
• Relevant formal qualifications
• Fully versed in relevant and up-to-date kitchen hygiene and WHS practices
• 3 years + experience in a similar role
